What happens in your brain when you fight with a loved one?

More Attitudinal: Fighting with a loved one is no different than when you fight with anyone else. Loss of self control is frequently egocentric and driven by self motivation or need to prove one's point. The detrimental part of this may be the depth or intensity of the aggravated response and the propensity for regret after it's over. Self control is best at all times.
