How do you know if you have athlete's foot or another foot fungus?

Culture: The best way would be to see a doctor and have a scraping taken for a fungal culture.

Athlete's foot is: A generic term for a fungal infection of the skin, regardless of which particular fungus is involved. There are tests/skin biopsies which can be performed to identify that it is indeed a fungus and which specific organism(s).
