Management is key: The goal of acne treatment is control not cure. There is currently no treatment that will cure acne. Your best bet, whether you are a preteen, teen or adult with acne is finding the combination of treatments that interrupt different parts of the acne cycle. See your preteen's doctor first. You may also need to see a dermatologist.

ACNE: Control of acne is accomplished by using benxoyl peroxide 5 or 10 percent at bedtime. Retin a (tretinoin).
