Testostrone, yes: Androgen hormones like testosterone can cause abnormal male pattern hair growth if the female percentage rises above 2-3% of the total hormone levels. Genetics also contribute to extra hair growth(hirsutism).

Testosterone: Women can can increased hair growth in normally male areas if they take testosterone. Estrogen has no effect on hair growth.
