Yes: Seborrheic dermatitis can be very well controlled with combinations of over the counter medications that contain zinc pyrithione or selenium sulfide, or prescription medications such as ketoconazole, or anti-inflammatory medications that contain corticosteroids. Patients can often get the disease state under control.

Yes: I've had it since childhood and managed it. It's one of the less difficult things for which I need to care. You need to educate yourself about it and stay on top of it. Especially, a mix of antifungals and (sparing) glucocorticoids will probably prove most helpful.
