Is hantavirus a lifelong infection, or can it be cured?

Viral illness: Hantavirus is a rare and potentially very serious and possibly life threatening illness. Antiviral mediation may be helpful and the virus does not stay and linger in the body once one has recovered.

Hantavirus: Hantaviral infections are not chronic as the infection can resolve. Antiviral drugs haven't been very effective and treatment is mainly supportive with treatment for the symptoms and when severe pulmonary and renal complications are present.
