Probable neuroma: There is a high probability you have the symptoms of a morton's neuroma. A neuroma often causes tingling and numbness, as well as, shooting pain in the ball of the foot. Removing shoe pressure or placing a metatarsal pad behind the metatarsals on the bottom of the foot may help. A podiatrist may also try a cortisone or sclerosing type injection for relief. Surgery may be an option later.
