Possibilities...: It is possible that your cough is due to bronchospasm, which is also causing you to be short of breath. There are many possible causes of bronchospasm. You need to see a doctor asap because shortness of breath can be life-threatening. Bronchospasm is very treatable but you may need tests to determine the cause of the bronchospasm, if present. If you smoke, you need to quit today!
