What are myopias?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nearsightedness: Myopes have eyes that are too long for their natural focusing power. They need eyeglasses or contacts that minify the light which causes the focal point to go more towards the back of the eye where the retina receives the image. (hyperopes need magnifying lenses). Your ophthalmologist can provide the best correction for this condition.
