Tick Bite: As grose as it gets, this germ is passed to someone during the processs of being fed on by an infected tick. The tick caries the germ & during the blood extraction passes the germ to the victum. It is not passed by mosquitos or by chance encounter with people who have the illness.

Tick bite: Caused by a spiral bacteria (borrelia burgdorferi), symptoms are fever, headache, fatigue, and a rash called erythema migrans which expands out like a snakem leaving a pale center. If untreated, infection can spread to joints, heart, and the nervous system. Lyme disease is diagnosed based on symptoms, physical findings (e.g., rash), and the possibility of exposure to infected ticks.
