Fetishism: Dynamic theories for paraphilias include regression to or fixation at earlier stage of psychosexual development resulting in repetitive pattern of immature sexual behaviors. Another theory is that they represent expression of hostility in which sexual fantasies are means to gain revenge for a childhood trauma such as abuse. Another theory is that these behaviors are conditioned & become repetitive.
