A member asked:

Does viral pneumonia have a vector?

No insect/animal rqd: We talk of vectors as a living transporter, like a flea(plague) or dog(rabies) that passes a germ thru a bite. Viral pneumonia is generally passed in droplets of the oral/nasal secretions or coughed up mucous from an infected patient. You could consider your fingers as a vector, passing germs from a door handle to your face.

No: Typically viral pneumonia is related to transmission via respiratory droplets, there is no vector , as the infections are not transmitted by the bite of an insect, etc..
