Does cervicitis stop the menstrual cycle?

Usually not: Cervicitis is inflammation of the cervix. It can sometimes cause bleeding between periods, but typically does not stop the menstrual cycle.

No : A cervical (or vaginal or uterine) infection will not stop the menstrual cycle. The infection may cause irregular bleeding and/or much heavier menses - but it will not stop the period from occurring.
