A member asked:

How long after going into cardiac arrest does a person have to get to the hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

As soon as possible: Anyone experiencing cardiac arrest needs emergency care as soon as possible - chest compressions should be started right away and emergency medical services should be called - in some public places there are aeds (automated defibrillators) which can be used - regardless, the brain will start to suffer long-term damage after 4 minutes without blood flow. CPR and shocks (if approp) is key.
