Keep clean: Second degree burns are where the skin blisters and peels. It will heal in less than 2 weeks if just kept clean by washing and covering with local antibiotics such as Bacitracin ointment.

Clean and cover.: Wash with mild soap and water, rinse well, pat dry gently and cover with a clean bandage.
