A member asked:

Does a person surely have a mental disorder if he has odd, abnormal behavior?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Everyone is different. Some people are more socialized, educated, and conforming to societal norms than others. If people display what appears to be odd or abnormal behavior there may be an explanation of it other than that they have a mental disorder. Perhaps they're eccentric. Perhaps they just like butterflies!
