Usually none.: Tubal ligation for sterilization is a very common procedure and typically has no long-term effects. Sterilization is permanent and many options exist to perform the procedure. Tubal ligation does not affect ovarian hormone production or affect menstrual cycles or sex-drive. A gynecologist can review options with you.
