Take pregnancy test: Tubal ligation is a great form of contraception but it is not 100% effective. If your period is late you need to find out if you are pregnant. Pregnancy following having your tubes tied can be ectopic (outside of the uterus). Symptoms include irregular bleeding and abdominal pain. This is dangerous and requires evaluation and treatment. See your doctor immediately.
