A member asked:

Is there a good diet to have to prevent sids?

No: Sids is not related to any diet. There is an increased risk when an infant sleeps on their belly. Back sleeping is recommended, until your infant starts rolling. Other risk factors are cigarette smoke exposure, being in an over heated environment, and not using a pacifier.

Healthy normal diet: There is no published evidence of a particular diet or nutrient that prevents sids. I would encourage every child to have an age appropritate diet. To be growing at a healthy normal length and weight.
