A member asked:

Is there an anti-viral medication that can be taken for the swine flu?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Flu medication: The antiviral drugs available are amantadine, rimantadine, oseltamivir and zanamivir. The influenza virus has been shown to be resistant to the first two. Although a growing resistance has also been observed to the third, it is still safe to use in the form of a pill to be taken by mouth. The last drug is in inhaler form.
