A member asked:

I got my first form of birth control (depo) exactly month ago, is there a possibility i still can get pregnant?

Very low chance: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is a great choice for bc. Renember, some women have irregular bleeding at first. It's expected. Depo-provera can require up to fourteen days to take effect. This means pregnancy can occur within 14 days of the first Depo-Provera injection. Takes 7 days to take effect if given after the first 4 days of your cycle. It's almost immediate if given on your cycle. Either way, sex 4 wks after is ok.
