Viral illness: Since most uris are caused by viruses, not bacteria, they are inherently antibiotic-resistant. Treatment is focused on reducing symptoms. If you find an herb that does that, feel fre to use it.

Try these: Try taking a high dose of good probiotic (MegaFood, Megaflora Plus) 3-4 caps/day, vitamin D3 10,000 Iu/day, zinc 50 mg/day for 7-10 days while you have an infection Take a lower dose of all these on a maintenance basis if you get frequent URI (they help to prevent URI). Licorice tea also helps reduce congestion. Avoid all milk products.
