Yes: When saying "catch", you would need to be more specific. As far as being a carrier, yes, they can, unless they had as a child. As far as having symptoms of it, much less likely, as it is common in children and adults have probably had it even if it was not diagnosed as such.

Yes,but: Most have had it in childhood and are immune. If they did not, they can certainly develop the infection & experience the rash that comes with it.
