A member asked:

What are the odds of surviving cancer after a marrow transplant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Marrow transplants can use your own cells or someone else's. These treatments have become very safe in many centers. Some centers even do this with your own cells in an outpatient setting. The benefit as a cancer treatment depends on the disease that this therapy is given for.
