A member asked:

What is the disease where ventricular fibrillation happens all the time or a lot of the time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

V-fib???: V-fib that lasts more than a few seconds is typically lethal and results in sudden death. Atrial fibrillation (a-fib) is a different thing entirely, which is a common heart rhythm abnormality. Some people live in constant afib, some people their afib is come-and-go. If it is afib you are referring to, it is commonly managed with a combination of medications and procedures.
