Many causes: Chronic blood loss in menstrual blood, abnormal bleeding in intestine, nutritional, deficiencies, especially iron; lead poisoning, thalassemia, leukemia, hemolytic anemia etc. If you have low red blood count it should be investigated by a doctor.
