How do i know if i need to get my tonsils removed?

4 possible reasons: There are 4 reasons that palatine (throat) tonsils may be ethically removed. 1.) a minimum of 3 documented episodes of acute suppurative (pussy) tonsillitis annually. 2.) extreme enlargement of the tonsils resulting in a sleep disorder. 3.) foul odor to the breath resulting from food particles getting caught in the tonsillar crypts. 4.) the complication of a peritonsillar abscess.
