No: Aplastic anemia means something is wrong with your bone marrow and it cannot make red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets. It can be caused by toxins, infections, or autoimmune problems. Often the cause is never found. Pancytopenia from chemotherapy means a decrease in red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets caused by the toxic effect of chemo. This improves with time.

Yes and No: The laboratory findings are the same but pancytopenia from chemotherapy is short lived and reverses itself.
