Possible..: If this is something he never had before and the symptom is that severe, i would take him to the er now. Virtually evryone yawns here and there and should not cause any pain, especially inside the head as in his case--excrucitaing! so, take him now--i don't want to be an alarmist, but it does not sound good in his case. Good luck.
