Intraductal : Carcinoma. Most cancers of the breast arise from the lining of milk ducts. These may remain localized to the ducts for a while before breaking out and invading rest of the breast. Some intraductal carcinomas present as Paget disease, due to cancer cells spreading through the ducts to the skin of the nipple and areola.
