A member asked:

Is it possible to develop bone marrow supression from taking tegretol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Tegretol like some other anti-seizure medications can cause low production of blood cells. Tegretol is notorious for causing low platelets. Not necessarily a reason to stop the medication unless there is a significant compromise of the hematopoietic (blood) system.
