Calming routine: 1. Do not go to bed anxious and wound up; wait until you are calm and sleepy; 2. Make a list of your concerns and a to-do list for dealing with them in the morning; 3. Take a refreshing walk; 4. Be sure that you have had proper nutrition and avoid alcohol near bedtime; 5. Prepare for bed (brush teeth, etc.) but don't get into bed, yet; 6. Do something quietly; 7. When you're sleepy, go to bed. Ah!
