What is done in the ER for head injuries?

1 doctor answer
Dr. William Goldie
47 years experience in Pediatric Neurology
Careful evaluation: Head injuries are common. Detailed testing is necessary with assessment of level of function, physiological effects, signs of focal brain damage, rate of worsening or improvement, and need for possible emergency surgery. An experienced trauma center is best.
