My dr has me on doxyc.for folitculitis, the otc meds broke me out bad.seems like doxcy isn't helpn anymo.any suggestions what nxt for folitculitis?

Response in few days: Usually you wouldn't see a response right away, so i'd give it a few days if you haven't already. Standard folliculitis treatments include Keflex if you're not concerned about MRSA (resistant staph), and Clindamycin or Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) if you are. I'd followup with your doctor if the doxy isn't working. Questions to ask: could this be something other than folliculitis? Is a culture needed? Best of luck!
