Most likely: The current practice is to return patients to the care of their primary doctor when the greatest risk for return is behind you. That is a great idea. We are happy that you are a survivor, but we don't want to forget to look for cholesterol, bp, heart, or thyroid problems. Your other doctor will still take care of you to prevent problem. Congrats, but see your primary to stay healthy.
