A member asked:

Why has my 8 year old had a bladder infection for 6 years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI: You did not specify the gender of your child nor the character of the bladder infections. Most urinary tract infections (UTI) are treatable with antibiotics, more common in girls and are usually recurrent. Boys who develop a UTI signals an abnormality of the urinary tract which is usually investigated with the first bout of infection.
