Immunodeficiency: Immunoglobulin g, igg, is an antibody, a protein that the immune system makes to help fight infection. Igg floats around in the blood stream and helps fight bacteria and viruses. An igg level of 3 is exceedingly low. In most labs, a normal igg level is around 700. Low igg can predispose you to having recurrent infections. You should see an immunologist about igg replacement.
