What can you do if you are unable to sleep at night?

Dont lay in bed!: Whatever it is, dont lay in bed for more than 15-20 minutes. You dont want to associate the frustration of not being able to get to sleep with the bed and bedroom. This unconscious association is what makes normal insomnia into chronic insomnia. So get up and leave your bedroom. Try a snack, relaxation exercises, and even exercise 5-6 hours before you want to sleep.

Anything: You do not indicate what other symptoms you have or why you do not sleep. Contact your primary care physician and talk to him/her about your symptoms. Lack of sleep causes many other problems.
