Risks are low: Almost all ivf kids are born healthy, and studies of development and school performance show good outcomes. There is some modest increase in chromosome errors when poor quality sperm are used for icsi, and in certain birth defects, like heart defects after ivf. These problems are rare, but worth screening in pregnancy. Multiple pregnancy is risky regardless of the reason.
