Relax..: Most us women who are sexually active have already been exposed to hpv. If you have never been sexually active before, consider getting the hpv vaccine prior to beginning sexual activity - talk to your gynecologist.

Not an always thing: Most those with HPV will clear their primary infection within 2 years & only be contagious intermittently thereafter. Studies show as many as 70% of college age women have antibodies to HPV & you can have it for a lifetime & never have complications. Women have done pap smears for decades before the cancer link to HPV was known. Don't give up on motherhood.Talk with your OBGYN.
