Yes.: Intrauterine contraceptive devices (iuds) prevent fertilization and implantation, thereby effectively preventing undesired pregnancies. They are an excellent form of contraception, in that they require no daily reminder, last 5-10 years and are rapidly reversible once pregnancy is desired.
