How old do you have to be to have laser surgery for removing your acne scars?

No particular age: Laser tx for acne scars is most often done either with fractionated co2 or fraxel lasers. While these usually produce modest benefit, they are painful & require recovery. There is no particular age requirement for treatment. I would always be most comfortable with patients who are mature enough to make an intelligent decision once they understand the risks, benefits and treatment alternatives.

When breakouts stop: First lasers do not remove scars, acne or otherwise. Treat for acne scarring can be done when the break out have stopped.
