You can treat them: There are no real cures for eye allergies, but there are many effective treatments. Over the counter drops like zaditor (ketotifen) work well to control the symptoms. Sometimes you need to treat them with oral medicines like Allegra or zyrtec. See an ophthalmologist if these are not effective.

Many possible causes: There are many causes of itchy eyes. Several types of inflammatory conditions, allergic reactions, detergents, chemicals, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause itchy eyes. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
