Lexapro (escitalopram): Like most antidepressants known as ssri, it is category c in pregnancy which means safe in lab animals studied but no contraindication in humans as long as closely monitored by md, especially in 1st. Trimester where fetus is developing, and around time of labor/delivery to watch for side effects to newborn.
