Why does the nose skin peel after a nosejob?

Dry skin: Surgery can make the overlying skin dry from temporary lack of oil production. It should return to normal without treatment.

Nose peeling post op: The skin of the nose will normally peel because of the surgical swelling that occurs after lifting the skin off the bone and cartilage, the tissue manipulation during surgery and the nasal splint that is placed over the surgical area.
