Emotional abuse: The person often has an extremely harsh & self-critical attitude towards herself/himself. S/he may feel s/he can't do anything right, no matter how hard s/he tries. S/he may be very sensitive to criticism, and go out of her way to be liked. S/he often exhibits poor self-care, & poor boundaries with others. Talk therapy helps explore, understand, and release painful affects and change behavior.
