Specializes in Psychiatry

Hospital admission: If there's a primary psychiatric or substance abuse disorder, with escalation of symptoms not safe or able to be worked with as an outpatient. Such as posing danger to self or others due to psychiatric symptoms; needing continuous skilled observation, evaluation, or treatment available only in a hospital; or impaired judgment/logical thinking that isn't manageable in a less restrictive setting.
