Absolutely.: Most reliable resources suggest to avoid concentrated sweets and beverages such as sweet tea, fruit juice, sugary sports drinks and soda, as these may worsen the diarrhea. Some suffering from diarrhea can also develop a transient lactose intolerance which may require avoidance of major sources of lactose such as milk or ice cream as well for a while.
