A member asked:

How risky are oral contraceptive pills for birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very safe: For almost all women, the pill is very safe. The major risk is with such cardiovascular issues as hypertension or a leg/lung clot. Both are unlikely without a previous history- self or family. Cigarettes def increase the risk heart attack and stroke. But again, very safe and ...Safer by far than pregnancy.
