A member asked:

Why pulse faster after i poop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sympathetic vs para: Efforts made to perform bowel movements (valsalva) are managed by your parasympathetic system which lowers heart rate - after the bowel movement the parasympathetic system activity lessens and the reaction to that may be increased pulse which is usually transient and normal.
